In our effort to build a supportive and balanced workplace, we focus on the key aspects of employee wellbeing. In a busy work environment where job demands can overshadow personal health, it’s essential to create opportunities for employees to succeed both professionally and personally. We’re excited to highlight our Work and Wellbeing Calendar for 2024. This calendar is more than just a list of important dates; it’s a practical tool to help you plan and align your wellbeing initiatives with key awareness days. Our goal is to assist you in improving the physical, mental, and emotional health of your workforce. By incorporating key campaigns and events, we aim to help you create a culture of inclusivity, appreciation, and overall wellbeing, making your workplace better for everyone.

Awareness Days – Next 90 Days

Let’s explore our work and wellbeing calendar and see what the next 90 days hold in store!

September – Promoting Wellness and Gratitude

September is dedicated to promoting wellness and gratitude. We observe Sleeptember, Know Your Numbers Week, and World Suicide Prevention Day, emphasising the importance of sleep health, preventative healthcare, and mental wellbeing. Additionally, we celebrate World Gratitude Day and the International Week of Happiness at Work, highlighting the significance of positive psychology and workplace satisfaction. Eye Health Week and National Inclusion Week underscore our commitment to vision health and diversity.

October – Focusing on Health and Awareness

October brings a focus on health and awareness. We support initiatives like Stoptober, Cholesterol Month, and Breast Cancer Month, emphasising the importance of smoking cessation, cardiovascular health, and breast cancer awareness. October also marks Black History Month, recognising the contributions and experiences of the Black community. Observances like World Smile Day and World Mental Health Day promote positivity and mental wellbeing, while events like OCD Awareness Week and Menopause Awareness Day raise awareness and support for mental health conditions and women’s health.

November – Advocating for Mental Health and Equality

November is a time for advocating for mental health and equality. We participate in Movember to raise awareness of men’s mental health, and observe Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month to support those affected by pancreatic cancer. Other initiatives include Talk Money Week, Remembrance Day, and Anti-bullying Week, addressing financial wellbeing, remembrance, and bullying prevention. Additionally, events like World Kindness Day, Transgender Awareness Week, and 16 Days of Action Against Domestic Violence promote kindness, awareness, and support for marginalised communities.
