Meet our founder, Amanda Anderson. With 20 years of educational experience, Amanda has demonstrated a consistent ability to add substantial value to individuals, teams, and organisations, specialising in optimising performance to ensure everyone reaches their full potential.

As a former educational leader and trained Physical Education teacher, Amanda Anderson deeply understands the significance of wellbeing in optimising performance, especially in challenging times. She’s passionate about fostering growth and impactful relationships, aiming to support individuals to achieve their utmost potential. Amanda’s personal journey is marked by resilience; having been diagnosed with Dyslexia at the age of 10, she struggled with reading and writing. This experience has driven her commitment to truly supporting everyone including neurodivergent colleagues within the workplace, recognising the importance of honing self-awareness and understanding strengths. She firmly believes that acknowledging and leveraging the unique contributions of each individual is essential for team success.

As an EMCC-qualified coach, Amanda offers much more than guidance; she provides a sanctuary for introspection and growth. A trusted space where clients can think, reflect, and explore new approaches or ideas to gain new perspectives and motivation for change. Through over 300 hours of one-on-one coaching, Amanda Anderson has discovered a common thread; “wellbeing lies at the heart of personal and professional challenges”. She has helped individuals confront limiting beliefs and barriers around self-belief and resilience, realising that equipping everyone with life skills to support wellbeing could elevate performance significantly. This realisation birthed the idea behind People First, an initiative dedicated to empowering individuals to prioritise their wellbeing while achieving their fullest potential.

Amanda’s coaching approach, collaboration and being people-focused are paramount. Her aim extends beyond unlocking individual potential, to fostering team and organisational success, while nurturing impactful relationships. Through People First’s comprehensive support programmes, we enhance skills and cultivate self-awareness, catalysing positive change from within.
